They deal with many, many different locations so your outcome will be based on the local company, not 800 Flowers. In my area (MPLS) I would use them again.

5/25/2008 2:59:50 PM 1 5 Yes In the case of 1-800-flowers, my mother did not receive her flowers on Mother’s Day and I’m not sure that she actually ever would have received them had it not been for the several dozen calls that I made along with my sister and mother from remote locations, only to be lured into the labyrinth of auto-service options. In one case, I finally reached a customer service representative who proceeded to give me another, separate 800 number to call for 1-800-flowers. Once I called that number, I was sent into another aggravating maze of caller options, only to navigate my way to yet another representative who informed me that I had been given the wrong number by the previous representative. My card was charged on the original call, and the flowers were delivered 6 days after they were ordered, 4 days late for the occasion. All this transpired after a guarantee on the original call that the flowers would be there by 11:00 a.m. on Mother’s Day.

Item I ordered was for early Mother's Day delivery the Friday before Mother's Day. When I called for replacement item was no longer available. Agent helped select comparable items without hesitation or question. I picked 2 or 3 replacement items. Somehow one got shipped and delivered on Sat before Mother's Day. Another item I selected was delivered by a local florist also on Sat. So the addressee ended up getting 3 different orders ... all for the original special price of the one that arrived damaged. 1-800-FLOWERS.COM did not make a profit on this order I'm sure. I've always had good success with my orders from them. Things get a little messed up if items arrived damaged or you order too close to a holiday or day like Mother's Day.

I've ordered flowers for friends and they were beautiful, however, twice now I've had flowers sent to my mother and they were either dead or close to it. Both of these times, I called Customer Service, got a live body on the line and they were very helpful. In the first instance, my money was credited to my debit card and in the second instance, just this past Mother's Day, another bouquet was delivered (and it was quite lovely) and they gave me a bonus $20 on my Fresh Rewards account. They listened as I explained the problem and were apologetic and quick to offer some type of remedy. However, I believe I might think twice before I order flowers from them again.
5/12/2008 11:18:29 AM 1 0 For the second time in dealing with 1-800-FLOWERS we were disapointed with wrong delivery date. When the item was not delivered on time we called to cancel. Customer service told us it was canceled. Item was delivered anyway and we were billed. I will never do business with them again.
